Standing on Kariyarra Country in the Pilbara, Spinifex Hill Studio is one of the youngest Aboriginal art collectives in north-west Australia and one of the most distinctive.

Founded in 2008 from community workshops, it has grown into a creative and cultural home for over 100 artists from nine language groups: Kariyarra, Banyjima, Mangala, Manyjiljarra, Martu, Noongar, Nyangumarta, Nyamal, and Nyiyarparli.
