We are so excited to announce that the Golden Feather Hunt is returning next year. Get ready for nine weeks of feathered fun from 3 March - 8 May 2026. All public libraries are welcome to join the hunt!

Head into your local library and check out a book to see if you find a feather-shaped paper bookmark between the pages. There are four different kinds of feathers to find, all with a different prize to be won!

‍🪶 The Plain Feather

‍Decorate your feather however you like. Ask an adult to post a photo of it online, tagging @scribblersfest, to go into the weekly prize draw to win a book from the Scribblers bookshelf.

‍🪶The Emerald Feather

There’s one to find in every participating library! Finding it will win you an instant book prize. Simply show your feather find to the librarian.

🪶 The Silver Feather

Only 20 libraries across WA have a silver feather! This means 20 lucky finders will win a signed book from the Scribblers shelves.

🪶 The Golden Feather

This is the rarest feather of them all, with only five in circulation. Finding the Golden Feather wins you a Scribblers book pack, an e-reader, and a 6-month Book Subscription to Paper Bird!
